Hosta Blue Jay (O.S.) (Herb Benedict - 1987) Small

Foliage Mound: 15" wide by 10-12" tall.

Leaves: 6-8" long by 4-5" wide; intense blue color becomes green; cordate; cupped. Heart-shaped and heavy substance; 8-9 pair of veins.

Flowers: Pale lavender Flowers in July.

Bloom Scape: 12" tall.

Parentage: This blue seedling was obtained by selfing H. 'Dorset Blue' (TF 2x2) for4 generations, i.e. an F-4 generation plant.

Comments: One of the Benedict's blues. Only a few originator stock plants available. A rare Hosta! Has incredibly thick Leaves (heavy substance).
